Yesterday we went to Australia Zoo. We saw really cute kangaroos and elephants, which we hand fed. The elephant we fed was called Bimbo. He was the youngest out of all of them and Bindi Irwin’s favourite. Later on we saw them play in the mud as the elephant keepers sprayed them with the hose – it seemed like they all had fun.
The tigers were a bit funny when they nearly pushed the keeper into the water during a play session. It was amazing to see the keepers and the tigers playing together without the keepers getting eaten alive.
It was cool how I could see the komodo dragon’s neck move when he breathed. I learnt that a full grown komodo dragon could weigh as much as a small car ! Crikey !!!
When it was time to go home / caravan, Lauren insisted on buying a really, really cute toy tiger which she named Stripes.

Hi James, looks like you had fun at Australia Zoo. Must have been a bit colder (and wet) that day as you all have jackets on.
ReplyDeleteHey James. Looks like a great time was had by all at Australia Zoo :-)
ReplyDeleteI was glad to read that the tiger handler didn't become 'lunch' for the tiger! That would have made an interesting video on your Blog!
